Marco Chelo is a multifaceted professional with expertise in the travel industry, information technology, music, entrepreneurship, and sailing. His proficiency in IAM (Identity Access Management) reflects his performance-driven approach, adept at developing, analyzing, and implementing solutions across a wide range of technologies for computer systems, hardware, and software.

In 2008, Marco co-founded the New York Jazz Workshop with Marc Mommaas, establishing an organization committed to making jazz education accessible in New York City. Over the past 15 years, the Workshop has grown into a significant entity in the New York music scene, employing numerous musicians and offering an array of programs including weekly music workshops, music based eambuilding experiences, private instrumental lessons, and jazz summer programs, with activities both in the U.S. and internationally.

Marco’s adventurous spirit has also led him to undertake extensive sailing voyages, such as his six-month journey from City Island in the Bronx to Eleuthera in the Bahamas aboard his 27ft sailing vessel, Aeolus, covering over 1500 miles. His sailing adventures are documented and can be followed on Instagram 

Born in Milan and raised in Rome, Marco relocated to New York in 1995, where he has leveraged his diverse skills and interests to forge a unique career path. His background encompasses managing a travel agency franchise, founding a web development agency, and initiating the New York Jazz Workshop. Furthermore, Marco has been instrumental in creating and managing bands such as “Denbaya” and “Il Collettivo,” and has served as a technology specialist for the New York State Insurance Fund. His extensive travels across Asia, Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, and South America add to his broad range of experiences and perspectives.
